Mikayla, you have lots of really good ideas, however I disagree that trick-or-treating should end in high school. My first reason is that most high schoolers aren’t mature enough to enjoy dressing up without causing trouble. My next reason is that even though refusing to give high schoolers candy can seem harsh, adults just want there to be enough candy for the littler kids to have some. My last argument is that a lot of kids don’t have older siblings to take them trick-or-treating.
First of all, yes, it would be awesome if all teens followed the rules on Halloween (and some do), but most teens don’t. In my opinion, teenagers just aren’t mature enough to not cause trouble on Halloween. Even if they start out having innocent fun, teenagers will more likely than not end up doing things that are a bad example to small children.
Secondly, I realize that adults refusing to give teenagers candy may seem harsh, but they just want to make sure that the littler kids will have enough candy. Also, teenagers have much larger hands than small kids do. Therefor, they can get twice or even three times as much candy as the kids can get in their tiny hands. It totally stinks being the kid that knocks on somebody’s door and hears the words “sorry, we are all out of candy” .
My final argument is that a lot of kids don’t have older sibling to take them trick-or-treating. On Halloween you do have to be very careful about the child’s safety. However, if the kid doesn’t have older siblings to take them trick-or-treating, couldn’t their parents just take them?
High schoolers shouldn’t be trick-or-treating. This is because a lot of high schoolers aren’t mature enough to cause trouble. It is also because adults want to make sure that the littler kids will all get candy. Lastly, this is because a lot of kids don’t have older siblings to take them trick-or-treating.

I believe that people should stop trick-or-treating after their sophomore year in high school I believe this because no person is too old for the funness of halloween, the candy, and the costumes.
One of my three important reasons is that kids should still be able to have fun on halloween even though their in high school.Kids have the right to have fun its not illegal for them too trick-or-treat yet so take advantage of that right and have fun not by egging or toilet papering someones house but simply by going around and asking for candy not demanding but simply asking.
The next important reason is That some kids parents want their teen to take them trick-or-treating because they can't for some reason I won’t explain because there are so many, but some people don’t like teens trick-or-treating so they won’t give either the kids or the teen candy and that is not fair to the children or child.
Last and certainly most important is safety of the child. Teens can protect themselves so they don’t need their big brother or big sister to protect but kids on the other hand can not protect themselves and so they can’t go out trick-or-treating by themselves because they might be kidnapped and could not do anything about it or they could be raped or molested or even worse abused all by someone they don't know.
So I believe that kids should stop trick-or-treating at the age of 15 or 16 or their sophomore year because no person is too old for the funkiness of that dressing up in a goofy costume and getting candy spirit.
